Frequently asked questions.
Clear answers about the product, QR label, pricing, security approach and roadmap.
Is KIMLIKNO a personal identity-number service?
No. KIMLIKNO is a B2B Product Identity Platform for physical products, initially focused on industrial machines.
When is the QR identity created?
The manufacturer first saves the real machine, model, serial and production data. KIMLIKNO creates its permanent identity, URL and QR only after that valid machine record succeeds.
Is an app required to scan the QR code?
No. The QR opens a public web passport with a standard phone camera. Unlimited QR scans are included in every plan.
Why is the Owner Key not on the QR label?
The Owner Key is a separate private access credential. It never appears in the public QR, URL or printable label and can be regenerated or revoked by the manufacturer.
What happens to history when a machine is sold?
The authorized new owner can retain relevant maintenance, repair and technical modification history. Prices, invoices, quotations and private correspondence from the previous customer relationship do not transfer.
Does KIMLIKNO ship physical plates?
Physical plates are optional, separately quoted and not required to use KIMLIKNO.
How do I pay?
Annual licence payments are made by bank transfer. Payment instructions are shared after the order is confirmed.
Does the plan renew automatically?
No. Renewal is completed manually.
Can I pay monthly?
No. Standard KIMLIKNO plans are annual.
How many manufacturer accounts are included?
Standard KIMLIKNO use is provided through one company manufacturer account.
Is KIMLIKNO currently EU DPP compliant or certified?
No such claim is made. The architecture is designed to adapt to future Digital Product Passport requirements as category-specific rules and standards mature.
